The Forget Me Not II is the pinnacle of high performance equipment in decent to absolutely firing surf in Western Australia.
JS have developed this board from the original FMN to now be better than ever in pumping waves, but with more user-friendly design features overall. This allows you to get into waves earlier & easier, while maintaining the perfect level of control in quality conditions and high speeds.
Together, JS & Joel have worked closely on a number of small changes that result in an exponential improvement in board speed and control. First, the deck line and deck roll have been tweaked to add extra foam under the chest, while maintaining a finely tuned, responsive rail. This both increases paddle power in the lineup & while taking off, and provides a massive advantage in acceleration and speed control once surfing. JS first noticed these improvements adding 0.25L to his own boards, and with a shape that’s already so dialed-in, it’s these finishing touches that elevate a board to the best possible option we all want in pumping surf.
Because of this, we’ve seen the Traktor Team achieve a huge amount of success in the last few World Tour seasons on our constantly improving Forget Me Not. From Parko and Julian becoming Pipe Masters and Triple Crown champions, to Dusty winning at Haleiwa, Owen dominating at Cloudbreak (including two perfect 20 point heats along the way), and Jeremy, Ace and Julian all taking top honours at Teahupo’o.
So, while we know the FMN excels in perfect surf, we’ve also updated it to ensure you’ll have the best possible board for good shaped waves of any size. The new outline has no breaks or hips – just pure, clean curves with a slightly fuller nose. Combined with fractional adjustments to the rails improving all-round performance, the Forget Me Not 2 gives you the ability to cross over from larger, quality conditions, to any smaller waves with good shape. JS & Joel had some of their best surfs while testing the FMN2 in wedging, two foot beachbreaks, while Owen’s ridden his favourites everywhere from Brazil to Trestles on the WCT, proving that if the wave shape is right, this is the perfect equipment for you to be on.
